The last game of the tour brought us to the picturesque scenes of Midhurst Castle and Cowdrey Park where we were being entertained by Midhust C.C. Again we batted first and apart from Lawrence Down (34), Ringer Dave Whittington (sorry Dave- part time pilgrimmer) 34 and a Quick swish of the bat from Jocky 12 not out, no one else really troubled the scorers and Jamie, Matty and Robin never troubled anyone as we ended up with a total of 140 all out, a score we did not think would be big enough. Teatime came and I think that this was Midhurst secret weapon for we were treated to one of the best teas served up to us for some time. All kinds of goodies including a humongous fresh cream gateaux were placed in front of us so that if all eaten we would have struggled to get round the field. But unbeknown to Midhurst we had our own weapons, the wife's, children and supporters who between them ate all the fattening foods and left us cricketers fit for the Midhurst innings. Midhurst came out to bat and like us Pilgrims no one really went on to make a big score as wickets fell at regular intervals and it was the turn of the bowlers to do their stuff as Nick 5-27 and Rendy 3-16 and a fantastic catch by Shaun Damen in the deep saw off Midhurst at 121 all out. A big Thanks to Dave Whittington for helping us out even though you were fined for not knowing were you should be fielding and letting one through for 4. So the Man of the Match award went to ME, best bowler went to ME and best fielding (run out) also went to ME. Yes and for those of you thinking your quite right, I do the website so I can praise myself as much as I want ha ha ha !!!!. A huge thanks go to Ivan, Hamish and Donna for looking after us all for the week, without you the tour would not be the same. Also thanks to Richard and Dave from Ebernoe for helping us out when we were short. Thanks to Clive, Lawrence, Matty, Dave Sandham, Geoff and Shaun Urquart who all could not make the full tour but came down to play in whatever game's they could. Thanks to Ted and Harry for all the scoring you did, and finally thanks to all those who came down and just supported us. Special huge thanks to Rendy from everyone for all the hard work you put in finding us all accommodation and making sure tour ran smoothly
